Position: Process Development Technologist

Reports To: Laboratory Manager
FLSA Status: Non Exempt - Professional

Summary: Responsible for determining root cause(s) of performance or quality issues that cause repeated and cancelled samples. In addition, responsible for working with R&D with new assay development, perform assay optimization testing and/or assay and process improvements that decrease throughput time and increase accuracy, precision and robustness of genotypic microbial identification assays used in the sequence laboratory. Support Laboratory Function by processing routine and special project samples as needed. Ensure that all regulatory and GMP compliance requirements are met and adhered to in the development process.
