AccuBLAST® Submissions

AccuBLAST® is an identification service provided by Accugenix to address the needs of customers utilizing in-house genotypic microbial identification systems, such as MicroSEQ®, but require a higher level of expertise in report generation and interpretation. Simply submit your raw sample data files (*.ab1 extension) and we will analyze the data with our more effective manual assembly and interpretation process which will provide you with a more accurate identification. Our comprehensive, validated, compliant libraries and unmatched expertise in the field of microbial identification is invaluable when sophisticated problem-solving methods are required to reconcile inconsistent data or when you simply want to improve the accuracy of your in-house sequencing system by gaining access to the industry leading Accugenix libraries.

What kinds of sample data files are accepted?

Accugenix accepts sequence data files from the MicroSEQ® system. The data should result from PCR amplification and sequencing of the first 500 bp of the 16S gene in bacteria or the D2 expansion segment of the large subunit rRNA gene for fungi. We can only accept data files with the *.ab1 extension that were generated from Applied Biosystems sequencers. Submit the sample data files by sending us an email at technicalsupport@accugenix.com or through ShareFile® (www.sharefile.com). The file names should reflect if they are forward (F) or reverse (R) sequence data and should have the *.ab1 file extension.

AccuBLAST® submissions require two things

  1. A completed and signed AccuBLAST® Request Form.
  2. The forward (F) and reverse (R) raw data files (*.ab1) for the microorganisms to be identified.
