Explanation of Turnaround Times for Receipt of AccuPRO-ID® Reports

AccuPRO-ID® Sample Types

  • Ethanol preparations will be processed upon receipt.
  • Pure culture plate that is received at controlled temperature 20-25°C and less than 48 hours old will be processed upon receipt (this will ensure that cultures are processed before reaching 72 hours old).
  • Record inoculation date and time information for each Direct Sample submitted.
  • If Accugenix receives plates that are older than 48 hours and/or not shipped at the specified temperature, the samples will be subcultured for fresh growth.
  • If a mixed culture is received, samples will be subcultured for fresh growth, purity and isolation.
  • There is no additional charge applied for subculturing the sample.
  • TAT begins when adequate growth and purity are present.

TAT begins the day samples meet the above criteria and have arrived at Accugenix by 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Accugenix is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and major U.S. holidays.  If you require a Saturday Same Day result, please contact Technical Support at +1.302.292.8888 by Friday before 1:00 PM ET, and we will be happy to make arrangements to test your samples. Additional fees will apply.

Explanation of Turnaround Time

Microbial Identification Reports TAT for AccuPRO

If the sample cannot be identified by MALDI-TOF, sample identification will be attempted by sequencing with AccuGENX-ID™, at no additional cost. The due date for the sequencing identification report will be the original due date of the AccuPRO-ID® plus the additional time based on the original TAT.  See the table above “Key for MALDI-TOF results retested by BacSeq.” for details.

Same Day TAT Samples

Samples submitted for Same Day turnaround time (TAT) require notification prior to their arrival. Contact Technical Support at +1.302.292.8888 with shipping information and tracking number.

  • Same-Day TAT is available for samples received Monday through Friday.
  • Same-Day TAT samples must be shipped for arrival at Accugenix by 8:30 AM ET.
  • Accugenix does not guarantee results by 5:00 PM ET for samples received later than 8:30 AM ET.
  • Results for Same Day TAT samples received after 8:30 AM ET will be sent as soon as they are available, however, no later than 12:00 PM ET the next business day. Same Day TAT charge will apply.

Should a Saturday Same-Day processing be required, please contact Technical Support by Friday 1:00 PM ET to confirm availability to process your samples.  Additional fees will apply.

Institut für Hygiene, Münster, Germany

Institut für Hygiene is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and major German holidays.

  • Same-Day TAT is available for samples received Monday through Friday.
  • Same-Day TAT samples must be shipped for arrival at the Institut für Hygiene by 8:30 Central European Time (CET).
  • Institut für Hygiene does not guarantee results by 24:00 Central European Time (CET) for Samples received later than 8:30 Central European Time (CET).
  • Results for Same-Day TAT samples received after 8:30 Central European Time (CET) will be sent as soon as available the next business day. Same-Day TAT charge will apply.
