Explanation of Turnaround Times (TAT) for Receipt of Bacterial Strain Typing Reports (BacRib)
RiboPrinter® Sample Types
- Extracts prepared in ethanol will be processed upon receipt.
- Bacterial Strain Typing requires a fresh, isolated colony for testing. If a sample is received greater than 72 hours old, it will be subcultured for fresh growth.
- Please indicate the date of culture on each sample.
- If a mixed culture is received which is not sufficiently isolated, samples will be subcultured for isolation.
- There is an additional charge applied for subculturing the sample for sequencing.
- TAT begins when adequate growth and purity are present.
Accugenix, (BacRib is only performed in Newark, DE)
TAT begins the day samples meet the above criteria and have arrived at Accugenix by 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).
Accugenix is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and major U.S. holidays.
