Accugenix uses comparative DNA sequence technology to achieve the most accurate and reproducible microbial identifications available. Bacterial identifications and characterizations are based on sequencing all or part of the16S rRNA gene. Yeast and mold identifications are based on sequencing of the D2 expansion segment of the large subunit rRNA gene.
Experience that Counts.
We have sequenced hundreds of thousands of environmental isolates from over 400 pharmaceutical and biotechnology production facilities around the world. This has allowed us to build the most unique database in the industry for the types of bacteria and fungi which can often occur in cleanroom manufacturing environments. Each sample we receive is compared to the sequences in our database, and identification reports, including phylogenetic tree, are then generated showing the 10 closest matches in order of increasing genetic distance.
