Powerful tools for quick, accurate, interpretative analysis

Any identification system is only as good as the database of information the unknown is compared to. Fortunately, Accugenix's validated database is the most extensive in the industry for environmental microbial contaminants, allowing us to achieve the highest possible speciation rate.

After testing each isolate, Accugenix provides an identification report containing comprehensive information about the sample including a date and time stamp indicating when data analysis was performed. Results indicate the identified organism's name and the genetic percent difference between itself and the sample. The unknown sample and its 10 closest matches are used to construct a phylogenetic tree, which graphically illustrates the relationship of not only the sample to the top 10 matches, but also the top 10 matches to one another.

The phylogenetic tree is used along with the search results in assigning a confidence level to the sample. The confidence levels are either Genus level, Species level, Species* level (identification to the species level within a very closely related group), Family level (bacterial samples only), or No Match.

Sample Reports:

Report 1 - Bacterial Species Level Match
Report 2 - Bacterial Species* Level Match
Report 3 - Bacterial Genus Level Match
Report 4 - Bacterial Family Level Match
Report 5 - Bacterial Class Level Match
Report 6 - Bacterial Order Level Match
Report 7 - Fungal Species Level Match
Report 8 - Fungal Genus Level Match
Report 9 - Fungal No Match
