Microbial Characterization Comparison Report Guide

The comparison report provides information for evaluating organisms’ RiboPrint™ Patterns to determine similarity or difference at the strain level. This information is useful for tracking and trending. Any sample submitted for Microbial Characterization can be used for a characterization comparison. This example demonstrates that both samples digested with the EcoRI enzyme have identical RiboPrint™ patterns. The patterns associated with the PvuII enzyme are different. We can conclude that these organisms are different strains.

Section Descriptions

1. Your company name
2. “Ship To” address from your Identification Request Form
3. Unique sample code (C#) assigned by Accugenix
4. Your sample ID, as provided on the Identification Request Form
5. Your 6-digit Account #, followed by a 4-digit alpha-numeric code in ( )
6. Each ID Request Form received with samples has a unique number
7. The due date of your Identification Report
8. Customer code
9. Number automatically assigned by the RiboPrinter®, consisting of instrument, batch and lane numbers
10. Unique C# and Customer Sample ID (R#s in this example)
11. Customer code and current RiboGroup assigned. The RiboGroup numbers match for samples R1 and R2, because these samples share the same RiboPrint™ pattern when digested with EcoRI
12. RiboPrint™ patterns of R1 and R2 digested with EcoRI
13. Customer code and current RiboGroup assigned. Sample R1 produced a different RiboPrint™
pattern and was assigned a different RiboGroup than sample R2, when digested with PvuII
14. RiboPrint™ patterns of R1 and R2 digested with PvuII
15. Place holder for additional comments. In this case stating that the RiboPrint™ patterns of sample R1 differ from the RiboPrint™ patterns of sample R2
16. Electronic signatures in compliance with FDA regulation CFR 21 Part 11
