Position: Scientific Programmer
Department: R&D
Reports To: Software Applications Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt – Computer

Summary: Bioinformatics and process pipeline programming to support DNA Sanger sequencing based identification and typing of bacteria and fungi, MALDI TOF mass spec identification of bacteria and fungi, sequencing and MALDI library generation and validation, sample tracking in various lab automation systems, LIMS interfacing, and special projects support.

Software developed will generally involve both Windows-based graphical human interfaces and Internet-based web services.
